Areas we cover
HA8, and the roads that border it
A short list, deliberately. We would rather cover Edgware and its edges properly than claim half of north London and know none of it.
Edgware
HA8 — the core
The Broadwalk end of the high street, the streets off Watling Street, and the 1930s semis that spread out behind them. Most of our work starts within a mile of the station, and most of it is a family leaving one semi for a larger one a few roads away.
Burnt Oak
HA8 — south along the A5
Watling Estate terraces and semis, tighter roads, and a good deal of flat and shared-house work alongside the family moves. Parking is the usual question here: on many of these roads a large vehicle wants thinking about before the morning, not during it.
Canons Park
HA8 — the quieter west side
Wider verges, longer driveways and larger detached and semi-detached houses. The moves here are bigger by volume, often with a loft and a garage that have not been opened properly in years, and frequently a downsize rather than an upsize.
Queensbury
HA8 / HA3 edge
Interwar semis and parades, a mix of family homes and conversion flats above the shops. A lot of first-time-buyer and growing-family moves, and a fair number that end up somewhere else in north London rather than staying local.
The Stanmore edge
HA7 border
Where the ground starts rising and the houses get larger. Longer approaches, gravel drives, and occasionally a road narrow enough that we shuttle from the end of it. We work this edge because it sits against Edgware, not as a patch of its own.
The Mill Hill edge
NW7 border
The eastern side, towards the A1 and the M1. Mixed stock — interwar semis, newer estates and some substantial older houses. Handy for us because a long-distance run out of Edgware starts from here in minutes.
And where we will send you instead
Saying no to work that belongs to somebody else costs us a job and saves you a bad one.
Anywhere across London
A move that starts and finishes outside HA8 is better handled by a firm built for the whole capital.
Other north and west London patches
Our network has sites built for individual districts with real local knowledge in them. If your move belongs to one of those patches, read theirs rather than ours.
Out of London entirely
The A41, the A1 and the M1 are minutes from Edgware, so a long run north or west starts here easily. Those go as one job with one crew at both ends.
And into Europe →Coverage — common questions
Do you charge more for one part of HA8 than another?
No. What changes the figure is access — stairs against a driveway, a controlled road against free kerb space, a loft and a garage against neither. A three-bed semi costs the same to move in Burnt Oak as it does in Canons Park.
Why is the list so short?
Because it is honest. We could list forty north-London districts and rank for none of them, or cover HA8 and its edges properly. Our network has sites for the other patches, and we would rather send you to one than pretend.
What if half the move is in Edgware and half is not?
That is normal and it is ours. Either end being in HA8 is enough — plenty of our work is a family leaving Edgware for somewhere else in the country entirely.
Do you go to Stanmore and Mill Hill?
The edges that border Edgware, yes — those roads sit against us and it would be odd to refuse them. We do not claim either as a patch of our own.
Anywhere in HA8
Send both addresses and a rough idea of what is coming. The access matters more than the postcode, so mention the stairs and the loft.
